Major General Khaled A. Abdullah

Major General Khaled joined the Kuwait Navy in 1979, and attended Officer Candidate Training at the Egyptian Naval College in Alexandria. Upon being commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in 1983, he began a distinguished career of challenging operational assignments.

His operational postings include appointments as Navigation and Communication Officer and Principal Warfare Officer on KNS Al-Saadi, Executive Officer of KNS Al-Bateel, and ultimately Commanding Officer of KNS Al-Sanbook. During the war for the Liberation of Kuwait, BG Khaled served as Commanding Officer for KNS Al-Dorra, where he led vital support missions to coalition special forces in the North Arabian Gulf throughout Operation Desert Shield and Desert Storm. He subsequently served as the Commander of the Fast Attack Patrol Craft Task Force 72, and Flotilla Commander.

In 2003, he completed the Joint Command and Staff course in Kuwait. His staff and training assignments include Head of the Intelligence and Security Branch, Flotilla Training Officer, and Director of Supply and Support Department.

In 2011, he was appointed as Commander of Combined Task Force 152. He then served as Director of Operations for the Kuwait Naval Force and was promoted to his present rank in March 2013.

Major General Khaled assumed command of the Kuwait Naval Force in January 2015.
